Amentum is seeking an Operations Control Specialist to join our team on Andros Island, Bahamas to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission. The Operations Control Specialist is responsible to coordinate the logistics of marine and air traffic arriving/departing or conducting activities on the AUTEC range. The Operations Control Specialist is accountable to the Test Operations Manager on the AUTEC project.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Essential Responsibilities:
Monitor and interface with test platforms via radio utilizing the NATO phonetic alphabet and military radio communication protocols.
Provide range expertise to the Program Manager and Program Engineer on duty during range events.
Be trained and qualified in accordance with work-based learning and perform all duties and responsibilities listed in the ACC Operations Manual.
Comply with directives and guidance of the AUTEC Range Safety Manual, AUTEC Range Capabilities, AUTEC Vessel Particulars, PAE Policy & Procedures, NUWC Operating Control Directives, and other guidance/directives/regulations as applicable.
Interact with and provide quality customer service to Range Users, US and foreign navies, and government and contractor personnel; promptly escalate operational, personnel, or customer conflicts or concerns to the Test Operations Manager.
Conduct administrative tasks as required including maintaining a watch log of all significant events.
Check email traffic regularly for communications pertinent to the conduct of operational testing at AUTEC.
Ensure organization and cleanliness of ACC.
Perform additional related duties as directed by the Test Operations manager.
Flexible work schedule; could require both day and night shifts on a rotating basis of 7 on and 7 off / 12-hour shifts.
May be required to work extended hours for test support or as back-up to co-worker on vacation or emergency leave.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
0-1 years of relevant experience.
Effective written and oral communication skills in English required.
Must be able to provide clear and concise information and directions to support personnel as well as Range User ships and aircraft.
Competent in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
Excellent customer service skills.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
Must be able to monitor computer screens/monitors for long periods of time.
Be able to walk up and down a one flight stairwell.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
A valid U.S. passport and driver's license are required.
Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
College or vocational/technical certification involving customer service and or business courses preferred.
Prior Armed Forces Service School degree/certification a plus.
3 years related experience working in test and range operations environment preferred.
Former military with a working knowledge of military protocol preferred.
Familiarity with radio operations and work control procedures are highly desirable.
