Description:

Enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.

* Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) for all safety-related inquiries and concerns on the project site.

* Conduct weekly or as required site inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Document and communicate findings to project teams and VP.

* Ensure location is current with site required safety matters, including signage, processes, PPE, and documentation.

* Collaborate with Safety Manager, project managers and site supervisors to address safety concerns and develop safety plans.

Reviewing and ensuring the implementation of site-specific safety plans.

* Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Document and communicate findings to Safety Manager.

* Present debrief action plans to project teams and use information to inform general training plans.

* Stay current with industry safety trends, regulations, and best practices.

The Successful Applicant A sucessful candidate will have the following experience & qualifications: * The following are the required experience and qualifications for this role: * Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety and 3 years of construction safety management experience OR * 5 years of experience in construction safety management with relevant certifications, including: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), or similar (preferred). OR * 6 years of construction safety management experience and the OSHA 500 certification * Ability to travel and stay overnight at job sites throughout NYS as assigned.

* In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.

* In addition to the required experience and qualifications, candidates must possess the following to be successful in the role: * Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify hazards and implement effective solutions.

* Professional and thorough verbal and written communication with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization both interpersonally and in group settings.

* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
