JOB SUMMARY
The Onsite Construction Manager will lead daily commissioning activities for Engineering Services projects, ensuring successful execution through effective scheduling, budgeting, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication. This role serves as the primary onsite contact and is responsible for driving project milestones, managing risk, and ensuring quality standards are met from initiation through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as daily onsite construction manager for Engineering Services commissioning activities
Oversee scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management to ensure timely, on-budget, high-quality project completion
Receive job handoffs and conduct initial reviews of technical scope, work requirements, and scheduling
Utilize project management tools and software to track milestones and deliverables
Coordinate internal and external project meetings and maintain formal communication with stakeholders
Navigate client's scheduling and activities around other trades to drive execution efficiency
Determine and implement mechanisms for successful job closeout, including punch lists, issue resolution, and warranty transition
Act as the primary point of contact throughout EESS activities on site
Collaborate with the DOC team to communicate safety initiatives and concerns to all stakeholders
Provide financial oversight including cost control, warranty tracking, change order management, and risk mitigation
Work closely with commercial operations teams (NAS, PMO, sales engineers, TAS) to align client expectations with project commitments
Implement and communicate program-level initiatives from Strategic Operations technical program managers
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, demonstrating advanced project management and operational leadership
