Job Purpose Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of our esteemed client is seeking a driven and personable Physics/Mathematics Teacher.
You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering effective lessons that inspire and motivate students to achieve academic excellence in Physics and Mathematics.
You will promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters intellectual curiosity, scientific inquiry, and problem solving skills among students.
The role also involves assessing learning outcomes, providing timely feedback, supporting individual learning needs, and contributing to the holistic development of learners in alignment with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) and the school’s educational philosophy.
Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons or work plans aligned with the approved curriculum or organizational goals.
Assess performance, provide feedback, and track learner or staff progress.
Maintain discipline and a positive, inclusive learning or work environment.
Support and mentor students or team members to achieve personal and institutional objectives.
Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, or supervisors.
Participate in meetings, trainings, and continuous professional development.
Keep accurate records and submit required reports on time.
Engage in co-curricular or extra responsibilities that promote holistic development.
Uphold organizational values, codes of conduct, and relevant policies.
Perform any other duties assigned by management in line with the institution’s needs.
Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor of Education (Science) specializing in Physics and Mathematics.
Minimum 3 years’ teaching experience in Junior or Senior Secondary levels (8-4-4 or CBC). Registered with TSC or possess evidence of registration in progress.
Demonstrated competence in facilitating laboratory experiments and inquiry-based learning.
Proven experience in Science Congress participation or mentoring students in STEM activities is an added advantage.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to meet deadlines, manage time effectively, and work under minimal supervision.
A result-oriented, ethical, and student-centered educator with a passion for teaching.
