Fleet Maintenance Technician

The City of Worthington is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Fleet Maintenance Technician. This position performs maintenance and repair for all City vehicles and equipment. Work involves a high degree of skill and mechanical aptitude. Within twelve months of hire, must be ASE certified in heavy duty truck brakes, automotive air conditioning and automotive electrical systems and complete EVT (Emergency Vehicle Technician) certification in Maintenance, Inspection, and Testing of Fire Apparatus. Current ASE and EVT certifications at time of employment preferred. Minimum three years of practical automotive/truck mechanical repair experience. Must possess a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent certification. Ohio Class A CDL/Tanker Endorsement required within six months of hire.

This is a fulltime, classified, non-exempt position with a salary range of $67,473 - $84,931 and excellent benefits. New hires typically are appointed at step A of the pay range, however training and experience may qualify a candidate for appointment at a higher step within this range.
