SUMMARY:

The Network Administrator Intern will be responsible for the remote installation and configuration of desktop computers and maintaining our company's network infrastructure across all CollisionRight markets. The role involves responsibility for designing, implementing, and maintaining network systems to support the organization's communication needs as instructed by the Director of Information and Technology. The position involves travel to various locations, using a company-provided vehicle, and may occasionally need to stay overnight.

This is an entry-level, onsite position located in Dublin, OH. The pay range is $18-$21 per hour, depending on education and/or prior experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee, maintain, and troubleshoot both wired and wireless network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.

Configure, manage, and upgrade network devices, such as switches, routers, and wireless access points, to meet organizational needs.

Coordinate with carriers on service provisioning, troubleshooting, and performance issues related to network circuits.

Remote Desktop Installation: Assist with the setup and installation of desktop computers at various client sites.

Transport, unpack, and set up desktop systems.

Ensure all hardware components are properly connected and functioning.

Configure network settings and ensure connectivity.

Install and configure operating systems and essential software.

Software Configuration: Load and configure necessary software based on provided instructions.

Monitoring network performance and perform updates and patches as required.

Set up and configure email clients such as Microsoft Outlook

Transfer and restore data to new systems.

Collaborate with the IT team to ensure smooth network operation.

Data Management: Follow detailed instructions to export and import data.

Address any immediate issues that arise during setup.

Provide basic troubleshooting for hardware and software problems.

Provide on-site support during and after

Maintain accurate records of installations and configurations.

Work closely with the Director of IT and Chief IT during initial setups.

Provide feedback on the installation process for continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

Previous experience in IT support or related fields is a plus but not required.

Strong proficiency in basic Windows functions and software installation.

Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and efficiently.

Familiarity with email clients (e.g., Outlook, Gmail) and general browser functionality.

Competence in using Windows File Explorer for file management.

Valid driver's license.

Proof of auto insurance.

Ability to drive for extended periods.

Capability to lift and carry desktop equipment (up to 30 pounds).

Willingness to travel within Ohio and Kentucky.

Ability to stay overnight occasionally when traveling, with most days returning home.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
