A well-established litigation firm is seeking a mid-level attorney with 4-7 years of experience to join its team. This role is ideal for a motivated litigator with a strong foundation in insurance defense and civil litigation, who thrives in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent insurers, corporations, and individuals in insurance defense and civil litigation matters.
Conduct and defend depositions with confidence and professionalism.
Draft and argue motions, including dispositive and procedural motions.
Perform thorough legal research and prepare clear, persuasive legal memoranda.
Draft detailed reports to insurers and clients outlining case strategy, status, and recommendations.
Attend court hearings and argue motions as needed.
Collaborate with claims professionals and clients to develop strategic litigation approaches.
Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in Minnesota.
4-7 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or civil litigation.
Demonstrated excellence in legal writing and oral advocacy.
Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
Strong interpersonal skills and a client-service mindset.
Preferred Experience:
Background in workers' compensation, municipal liability, or professional liability defense.
Familiarity with construction litigation, employment law, or coverage disputes.
Experience working directly with insurers and claims administrators.
Trial experience is a plus but not required.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range: $100,000-$150,000, commensurate with experience.
