As a Program Officer in the Global Philanthrophy Function within CR, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the firm's Corporate Responsibility agenda by crafting goals, policies and initiatives that align with and support the firm's business strategies, reflect our values and support the communities where we do business.

The Division includes Global Philanthropy, Public Engagement, Global Government Relations, the PolicyCenter, the JPMorgan Chase Institute, and Sustainable Finance.

You will be based in Columbus, OH to lead the firm's philanthropic strategy in major markets in Ohio and Indiana.

You will design a philanthropic portfolio and implement strategies that align with the firm's business objectives, develop and manage a grant portfolio, and build external relationships to advance strategic priorities.

You will report to the Regional Executive for the US Midwest and Canada.

Job responsibilities * Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop market strategies aligned to the firm's business priorities and CR's social impact agenda, which include the focus areas of jobs and skills, small business and entrepreneurship, financial health, and affordable housing and neighborhood development * Develop and maintain a productive network of professional relationships with key government, philanthropic, business, and nonprofit leaders * Monitor social, political and economic trends that may impact market strategies and/or philanthropic activities * Think creatively about the firm's assets and tools, identify opportunities for firmwide collaboration to drive impact * Lead engagement with internal JPMorganChase stakeholders, including line of business leaders, Market Leadership Teams, cross-CR partners, and other functional partners such as HR and communications * Communicate the firm's approach to expanding economic opportunity and CR initiatives to multiple internal constituencies; * Develop, manage and execute philanthropic programs end-to-end (from concept design and budgeting, approval process, execution to program closing), in collaboration with community partners, that advance the firm's impact objectives * Provide robust budget management to maximize value of philanthropic activities * Understand the risk profile of the grant portfolio and propose the right level of mitigation; escalate controls issues with partners appropriately * Monitor grant progress and use insights from performance to shape future direct strategy; plan convening, evaluation and communications activities to amplify impact Required qualifications, capabilities and skills * At least 8 years of relevant work experience in program development, implementation, strategy, and/or policy in nonprofit, corporate, and/or government environment * Demonstrated experience and expertise in workforce development and/or community development.

Strong candidates will have an interdisciplinary background across inclusive economy issues and sectors.

* Passion for Global Philanthropy's mission, comfort with diverse groups, and strong relationship-building skills * Demonstrated ability to think strategically about solving structural issues, as well as program design and implementation * Understanding of grant making and the nonprofit sector; ability to assess track record and capacity of nonprofit organizations * Excellent relationship management and people skills; ability to communicate (verbal and written) complex ideas and professional perspective to diverse audiences * Creative, flexible, and collaborative with an ability to demonstrate a high degree of individual initiative within a team-oriented environment * Welcome feedback as a means to personal and professional growth Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills * Master's degree in a relevant field preferred * Demonstrated understanding of the non-profit ecosystem in Ohio (Columbus-preferred, Cleveland, Cincinnati) and/or Indiana Note: This role requires five days in the office (Mon-Fri) and will not support Hybrid options.
