Project Manager General
Location: Columbus, OH

Our global EPC Firm client is hiring a Project Manager General for a long-term contract opportunity for their Columbus, OH location.
Responsible for overall project execution after project budget and schedule approved through project completion
Manage 10-30 projects concurrently of varying sizes ($100k - $10M), disciplines (substation, transmission line, network) and voltages (34.5kV to 500kV)
Monitor and manage project scope
Work with project controls to maintain project schedule and cost forecast
Conduct construction bid events and evaluation for construction contractor selection
Monitor environmental and permitting progress in coordination with environmental staff
Coordinate construction resources and testing resources for project execution
Interface and work with client's project management leadership team to provide regular, timely updates
Collaborate with project team to successfully mitigate issues and achieve seamless execution
Requirements:
Must have a 4 year Bachelor Degree in engineering from accredited program and min 7 years applicable/relevant experience.
Do Not submit manufacturing type of Engineering degree.
Must have experience with managing 10-30 projects concurrently of varying sizes ($100k - $10M), disciplines (substation, transmission line, network) and voltages (34.5kV to 500kV).
Required Prior experience on construction project sites or executing program management in the industries of aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transmission & distribution, or water.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment, ability to work overtime on short notice.
Excellent computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office
Ability to work collaboratively with others (owners, contractors, engineers, designers) in a multi-disciplined project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software.
