Travel Nursing Job Details

Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs)

Setting: PCU Float Pool – Stepdown/PCU-type patients

Contract Type: Travel Registered Nurse

Start Date: December 1, 2025

End Date: March 2, 2026

Duration: 13-week contract

Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Hours per Week: 36

Patient Ratios: 1:3-4

Weekend Coverage: Required

Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940 - $1990

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/Stepdown RN experience (Progressive Care Unit experience preferred)

Active RN license (compact or Ohio state RN license required at time of submission)

Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

BLS and ACLS certifications required

EPIC charting experience required

Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Two professional references (at least one from a manager, director, or formal nursing leadership)

NIHSS certification preferred

Previous charge nurse experience preferred

PCU RN Responsibilities

Float to any stepdown/PCU area and potentially other hospital campuses as needed

Deliver high-quality patient care to adult and geriatric populations with diverse diagnoses

Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and manage cardiac drips (no titration)

Utilize Epic for electronic charting and documentation

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and more

Administer blood products, manage central/PICC lines, chest tubes, and provide tracheostomy care

Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and cardiac dysrhythmias

Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed

Maintain isolation precautions and perform wound care management

Support pre- and post-hemodialysis and neurosurgery patients
