Travel Nursing Job Details

Location: Columbus, Ohio (43210) – Ohio nursing jobs

Assignment Length: 13-16 weeks travel contract

Start Date: December 1, 2025

End Date: March 23, 2026

Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30); day/night shift option available

Hours per Week: 36

Employment Type: Travel RN contract

Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry Oncology Unit

Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics

Patient Ratio: 1:4

Orientation: 72 hours

Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1940-$1990

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience

Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required)

BCLS certification (Basic Life Support) required

EPIC charting experience

Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity

Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Two professional references (one from manager/director or formal leadership)

RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to oncology and Med/Surg patients

Continuous cardiac monitoring for chemotherapy patients

Symptom management for disease progression and treatment side effects

Manage comorbidities and implement infection prevention protocols

Operate specialized equipment: B450 monitors, GE telemetry system, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds

Interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases (ABGs)

Access ports, manage arterial lines, administer blood products, and provide central/PICC line care

Initiate IVs and assist with chest tube insertion/removal

Manage high flow nasal cannula (HFNC)

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)

Float to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed
