Robert Half is currently recruiting for a dedicated and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our client's team in Midway/Greeneville, Tennessee area. This role involves analyzing financial data, managing cost structures, and supporting decision-making processes to optimize operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manufacturing accounting and be skilled in various cost analysis methods and accounting software.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze and maintain accurate cost data to support business operations and financial planning.
• Conduct detailed standard cost accounting for manufacturing processes.
• Perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend improvements.
• Manage inventory analysis processes, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting.
• Prepare and reconcile bills of materials (BOM) to support production and cost tracking.
• Utilize Sage software and Microsoft Excel to create detailed financial reports.
• Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, depreciation, and reconciliations.
• Process journal entries and ensure accurate month-end close procedures.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
The position requires a degree in accounting or finance with 1+ years of experience. The position is 100% onsite and will require someone to live in the local area. • Proficiency in standard cost accounting and variance analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of Sage software and Microsoft Excel.
