The Opportunity:
KBR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Sustainment Manager to support our Capability Sustainment team in support of Maritime Sustainment for the Royal Australian Navy.
As part of KBR, you will contribute to delivering innovative, safe, and sustainable solutions that shape the future of Maritime Sustainment.
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Negative Vetting 1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
Responsibilities:
Foster a collaborative and transparent culture across KBR Maritime Sustainment program/s and Commonwealth stakeholders.
Provide senior leadership across Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Support, and Optimisation functions.
Lead strategic planning and team integration to meet contract objectives.
Drive continuous improvement and performance analysis initiatives.
Act as Deputy Program Manager and support overall program delivery.
Oversee asset sustainment and management services, ensuring alignment with contract requirements.
Facilitate sustainment stewardship and optimise total cost of ownership (TCO).
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
Degree in Engineering, or equivalent senior management experience.
Training in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), and maritime management.
10+ years in an engineering leadership role within Defence and/or Defence Industry
Experience in maritime asset optimisation, including ILS and LSA, and managing Tier 1 maritime sustainment services.
Experience working with DSwMS and ensuring technical integrity of maritime materiel.
Strong team leadership, coordination, and cross-disciplinary knowledge.
Eligible for Chartered Engineer status or membership in a recognised professional body.
Project Management qualifications and 10+ years of project management experience.
Experience with Defence design delivery processes.
