An ATS instrument operator, operates & maintains all survey equipment, works under the direction of the party chief, collects & downloads survey data, and directs loading & storage of equipment while maintaining safety standards.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Assist in acquiring the data needed in the field to produce the surveying and mapping product desired using the company's designated field procedures, from the setting of primary control, and data acquisition.

Excellent communication skills allowing them to communicate and interact with the field crew manager, the survey crew members, and the client on-site.

Load/unload equipment and prepare trucks for daily jobs.

Complete all assigned tasks promptly, be diligent in field procedures and always maintain company standards.

Make copies of field notes and reports

Requirements:

Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation

Experience in Land Surveying

Experience with Leica GPS, Total Stations, Robotics, and Data Collectors preferred

Ability to work outside in extreme and varying weather conditions

Ability to walk long distances through a variety of terrain

Ability to lift and carry up to 50lb

Ability to operate a 3-5lb sledgehammer

Ability to clear vegetation for clear line of sight
