Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Tester is responsible for ensuring that software products and applications meet established quality standards before release. The role involves identifying bugs, documenting defects, executing test cases, and collaborating with developers and product teams to deliver reliable and high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyze system specifications and requirements.

Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual and automated).

Identify, record, and thoroughly document bugs or inconsistencies.

Perform regression, functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure product quality.

Verify fixes and validate new features in production environments.

Use QA tools (e.g., JIRA, Selenium, Postman, TestRail) for tracking and reporting issues.

Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience in manual and/or automation testing.

Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies.

Familiarity with bug-tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, TestLink).

Basic knowledge of automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestNG) is an advantage.

Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Agile or Scrum development environments.

Knowledge of API testing (Postman, REST Assured).

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.

ISTQB or similar QA certification (optional but preferred).
