About the Role
Quattlebaum, Grooms & Tull PLLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our Transactions Department. This position plays a vital role in supporting attorneys with commercial transactions, document preparation, and client communication in a fast-paced, professional environment. The role reports directly to the Managing Partner of the Transactions Department and supports multiple attorneys within the group.
Responsibilities
· Assist attorneys with commercial transactions, including organizing due diligence materials, drafting and reviewing contracts, and preparing transcripts and closing binders.
· Manage and maintain both electronic and hard-copy files in accordance with firm standards.
· Coordinate with attorneys and staff to ensure timely completion of assignments and projects.
· Provide support in probate and estate matters as needed.
· Maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information at all times.
· Professionally communicate with clients, vendors, and opposing counsel regarding transactional matters.
· Perform other administrative and legal support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a legal assistant in a law firm, preferably with transactional practice exposure.
Professional Skills:
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
· Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
· Willingness to learn firm protocols regarding document review and database management.
· General understanding of transactional legal processes.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Sound judgment and discretion with confidential information.
· Proactive in anticipating attorney needs and managing multiple projects.
· Adaptable to new technologies and firm systems.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: Commensurate with experience
