Job Summary:
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTAs) to join our therapy team on both a full-time and per diem basis. Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will assist in implementing treatment programs to help residents improve or regain physical and cognitive function and independence in daily living activities.
Responsibilities:
Carry out treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
Assist patients in improving functional activities related to self-care, work, and leisure
Document patient progress and communicate with the therapy team
Participate in care planning and team conferences
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and policies
Educate residents and families on therapeutic goals and strategies
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Qualifications:
Current Florida state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
CPR certification (preferred or required depending on facility policy)
