The Opportunity

Leavitt Industrial Group is looking for a motivated Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in Kitchener or Cambridge, Ontario on a one year term contract. As the Human Resources Coordinator, you will provide administrative and operational support to the People & Culture team, and assist with day-to-day HR functions such as onboarding and benefits administration.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Human Resources Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include:

Provide support in the areas of employee relations, administration, and HR policy and compliance

Ensure completion of onboarding documentation

Maintain accurate employee files and HRIS data

Update employee information and track employment changes such as promotions, transfers, and terminations

Support benefits enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries

Serve as a first point of contact for HR-related questions

Support employee engagement initiatives and company events

Assist with performance management documentation and tracking

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

Post-secondary degree or diploma in human resources or business administration

CPHR designation (or in process of obtaining) is a strong asset

Experience working with an HRIS system is a strong asset

Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work with internal and external customers at all levels

Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and to work independently with minimal supervision

The base pay range for this role is: $62,000 to $70,000 annually, depending on experience.

This is a hybrid role based in Kitchener or Cambridge, Ontario.
