Part time Operations Assistant / Driver - Cardiff - Plumb Centre

As an Operations Assistant based in Cardiff, you will be responsible for:

Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations

Responding to customer enquiries via telephone promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude

Giving price quotations to customers

Working within the warehouse - (This will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets)

Delivering a variety of products such as boilers, cylinders and radiators generally

Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers ensuring you are a positive ambassador of the Wolseley brand

Ensuring all aspects of Health & Safety are adhered to, carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment and load

Loading and unloading the vehicle

Providing support in the warehouse when not driving working as part of the team at this busy contract branch.

Maintaining high standards of H&S within the warehouse

This is a permanent position working 20 hours a week Monday to Friday - flexible on days

And here’s what we’d like you to have:

Proven experience as a delivery driver - LGV 7.5 Tonne

Full clean driving license

Warehouse experience

Confidence to interact with customers

Dependable, hardworking team player who is open to learning to support in all areas of the branch

A positive and enthusiastic attitude
