Automotive Controller Key Responsibilities

Manage all dealership accounting operations, reporting, and internal controls

Prepare budgets, forecasts, and monthly financial statements

Ensure compliance with GAAP, manufacturer, and state regulations

Support dealership leadership with analysis and recommendations

Lead and mentor accounting staff to maintain accuracy and efficiency

Oversee audits, cost control, and cash flow management

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)

3–5 years of automotive dealership accounting or controller experience

Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS), ERP, and Excel

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Proven record of accuracy, integrity, and financial acumen

CDK Experience Preferred

Automotive Controller Compensation and Benefits

$80,000 – $120,000 annual base salary
