We are seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance Engineer to join a growing CNC workshop in Spartanburg. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a global manufacturer known for producing high-precision components used in compressors and advanced industrial equipment. This is a direct hire role with excellent benefits!

Job Summary: As the Maintenance Engineer you will play a key role in ensuring machines and equipment are well-maintained and able to keep pace with production. Your responsibilities will encompass responding to CNC machine breakdown, executing repairs and completing planned preventative maintenance. To be successful you must have knowledge of fault finding and repairing CNC machinery covering mechanical (bearing/motors/belts), hydraulics, pneumatics, controls, and electrical systems. You must have previous experience with CNC multi axis machine tools, preferably turning and milling machines (metal cutting). You will have had exposure to machine alignments and upgrades.

Responsibilities:

Implementation of planned preventative maintenance,

Swift response to machine breakdowns - diagnoses of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults and carry out repairs,

Address maintenance and repairs efficiently in a way that minimizes production downtime,

Maintenance, checks and calibration of handheld and fixed equipment,

Upkeep of facilities, fittings and fixtures as and when required,

Order replacement parts and replenish stock items,

Maintain good communication with the production manager and operators regarding repairs and downtime,

Good organization and site management of sub-contractors. Qualifications

Minimum of two yearsâ experience in a similar maintenance role working with CNC, multi-axis, metal cutting machines,

Holds a recognized trade school qualification or equivalent experience.

Experience of implementing planned preventative maintenance programs for multi-axis, CNC heavy machinery, ideally, Okuma, Doosan and Studer,

Previous experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic fault diagnostics for CNC machinery,

Strong communication skills, able to convey technical and mechanical faults to third parties,

Proficient at reading engineering drawings, schematics and manufacturersâ manuals,

Able to work efficiently under pressure, manage a varied workload, and adapt to changing demands,

Flexible, able to respond to emergency out-of-hours call outs.

Self-motivated and initiative-driven, and effective both independently and collaboratively,

Knowledgeable about safe work practices and familiarity with OSHA safety regulations,

Advantageous would-be familiarity with an MRP/ERP system. Schedule: 8:00 am â 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday Pay Rate: $80,000 â 85,000/Year, Based on Experience
