About This Opportunity
Lead curriculum and assessment innovation as the Principal Learning Designer for the Faculty of Science. You will collaborate with academic staff to design active and flexible pedagogies, directly enhancing teaching quality and improving the student learning experience across the faculty's courses and programs.
Key responsibilities will include:
Digital Pedagogy and Technology Support
Lead the uptake, design, development, and evaluation of learning technologies, resources, and pedagogies in a blended environment across the Science Faculty. You will advise teaching and management staff on the design and implementation of digital teaching approaches.
Educational Multimedia and Resource Design
Design, manage, and evaluate the effectiveness of educational multimedia products. You will also design and organise workshops tailored to the needs of key academic clients and stakeholders.
Project Leadership and Coordination
Plan and lead internal learning and educational design projects, defining project scope and objectives. This includes coordinating the necessary resources for project implementation, in line with stakeholder requirements and technical feasibility.
Strategic Stakeholder Engagement
Identify, build, and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to advance the learning outcomes of the University. You will also coordinate opportunities for collaboration and professional development.
About You
Degree and at least four (4) years of subsequent relevant experience, specifically in developing online resources to support student learning. You possess a demonstrated understanding of the enablers and limitations of educational technology and best practices for teaching innovation.
Demonstrated ability to apply pedagogical theory and contemporary practice to analyse complex teaching and learning situations. This includes applying high-level problem-solving skills to develop appropriate and innovative face-to-face and online learning solutions.
Proven experience using a range of technologies, including learning platforms and associated software, for the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of online learning resources and environments.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. You can work iteratively, adapting quickly to change, and operating effectively both autonomously and as a member of a client-focused team.
