Position Summary

Mau Marine Service Captains play a pivotal role within the Service department and operations, ensuring the seamless execution of boat services. This internship offers a comprehensive, hands-on experience in managing and coordinating boat services while working alongside marine technician professionals.

Responsibilities

The following responsibilities will be expected for this position:

Support the coordination of boat services, including delivery, drop-off, and pick-up of customers' boats.

Ensure prompt and professional delivery of boats to customers, both on water and by trailer, showcasing impeccable service.

Conduct minor repairs, assist with boat towing, launching, docking, and trailer handling as needed.

Aid technicians with boat launching, support in towing, and ensure efficient on-water operations.

Assist in overseeing routine maintenance tasks under supervision, ensuring quality service delivery and adherence to dealership standards.

Support the management of service-related inventory, ensuring availability of necessary parts and supplies for timely service delivery.

Engage with customers courteously, directing them to the appropriate advisor or department for their specific service needs. Maintain a professional demeanor to uphold the company's image and ensure exceptional customer service experiences.

Assist at Mau Marine and The Okoboji Store events as needed, contributing to the success of these occasions.

Adapt to additional duties and tasks as directed by management, demonstrating versatility and a proactive attitude.

Requirements

Applicants must possess the following qualifications:

A genuine passion for boating and a keen interest in the marine industry

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members

Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with a diverse team and contribute positively to the service department

Capability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive attitude

Experience in driving, docking, trailering, and hoisting various types of boats is preferred

Must be at least 18 years old with a clean driving record, meeting legal requirements for operating vehicles
