A prestigious independent school in the North West London area is looking to appoint an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their dedicated IT support team.
North West London Full-Time, Permanent- £30,000 – £35,000 (DOE) Excellent 35 days + BH annual leave.
About the Role: This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking school community, supporting over 800 users across multiple sites.
Working within a close-knit team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of IT services, providing day-to-day support to staff and students, and maintaining a secure and efficient IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities: Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues Maintain the IT service desk system with accurate records and regular user updates Configure and deploy PCs, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices across the network Support and administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and school-specific software Assist with user account management, password resets, and access control Set up AV/IT equipment for school assemblies and events Support asset management and routine IT maintenance tasks Work closely with the wider IT team to escalate complex issues as required About You: Strong working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory Experience supporting networks, printers, and cloud-based systems Excellent communication and customer service skills Logical problem-solving approach with a proactive attitude Ability to work effectively in a team and independently Ideally experience in an educational or similar user-focused environment Benefits: Competitive salary and generous pension scheme Ongoing professional development and training 50% fee remission for daughters attending the school Free lunch during term time Wellbeing and healthcare support schemes Cycle to Work and season ticket loan schemes Supportive and collaborative working environment If you’re looking for a meaningful role in a school that values IT as a key enabler of teaching and learning, we’d love to hear from you.
