Your responsibilities will include:
We’re growing our engineering capability and have multiple Systems Engineer opportunities across a range of cutting-edge Defence and technology programs.
As a Systems Engineer, you’ll work at the forefront of complex systems design, applying Model-Based Engineering (MBE) principles to develop integrated, high-performance solutions. You’ll collaborate with subject matter experts, partner organisations, and cross-functional teams to deliver systems that advance Australia’s defence and security capabilities.
About the Role
You will:
Analyse and decompose system and sub-system requirements into detailed designs within the MBE environment.
Define and manage key system interfaces and ensure design traceability.
Conduct trade-off analyses to optimise design solutions against requirements.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including solution descriptions, trade studies, and requirements artefacts.
Contribute to system design reviews, project activities, and stakeholder collaboration.
Support bids, estimates, and continuous improvement initiatives across projects.
About you:
You’re an experienced Systems Engineer who enjoys solving complex challenges and thrives in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments.
You bring:
Proven experience across the systems engineering lifecycle, methods, tools, and techniques.
Strong understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and related tools such as MagicDraw, Rhapsody, or equivalent.
Experience in complex system design, integration, and verification—preferably within Defence or other high-technology domains.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers while contributing to a positive team culture.
