About the Role

The Receptionist is responsible for the efficient ‘day to day’ running of the very busy Operating Suite reception.

The reception role is important as it provides the first impression to the Operating Suite and secondly this role provides important gatekeeping, ensuring clear necessary communication and minimal disruption to the Operating Suite team.

Provide professional customer service to both internal staff and external visitors

Accurately update the theatre grid and produce the daily Theatre List for both the current and next day

Produce any other statistical data as requested

Establish and open sessions onto PAS (6 months in advance) and regular review to ensure accuracy

Classifications for this position will range from HS1 - HS17 ($58,442 - $64,610 per annum)

Your Contribution

Formal Education: minimum of Year 10 education

Specific Training Courses: Medical terminology

great professional customer services skills

Advanced computer skills

A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain

The Operating Suite at St Vincent’s Melbourne consists of 12 Operating Suites, a holding bay and PACU which operates 24/7.
