We are seeking a strategic, delivery-focused professional to lead our Innovation Unit’s digital portfolio, driving data-enabled initiatives that shape the future of therapeutic discovery. This role offers the opportunity to guide a diverse portfolio of IT and digital projects that accelerate both clinical and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic oversight and governance for the Innovation Unit’s IT and digital initiatives.
Ensure alignment between scientific use cases and business priorities, delivering measurable value.
Facilitate portfolio reviews, business case development, and cross-functional strategic planning.
Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and capability deployment to support initiative success.
Communicate portfolio progress, insights, and outcomes clearly across stakeholders and internal platforms.
Develop and refine KPIs to monitor portfolio performance, health, and impact.
Identify gaps, opportunities, and emerging trends to inform long-term digital strategy.
Requirements:
PhD (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
Several years’ experience in pharmaceutical R&D or life sciences, ideally in digital or data-driven roles.
Proven experience in strategic consulting and working in multifunctional, matrixed teams.
Strong leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and guiding cross-functional teams.
Deep understanding of digital technologies and their applications in R&D.
Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
Fluent English; experience in international, intercultural environments is highly valued.
Strong business acumen in pharma R&D settings.
