West Penn Heavy Haul is a specialized rig moving and heavy transport company based in Shelocta, PA. We handle the biggest moves in the Appalachian Basin, serving energy, construction, and infrastructure clients across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia.

Job Summary

We're hiring a skilled Heavy Haul Rigger to support crane operations and specialized transport projects. This position involves setting, securing, and guiding heavy loads during rig moves, crane lifts, and oversized hauls.

Key Responsibilities

Rig and secure heavy equipment for lifting and transport

Communicate clearly with crane operators and truck drivers

Assist with crane setup, rig-up/rig-down, and load coordination

Inspect rigging gear and maintain a clean, safe work environment

Follow all safety protocols and job site procedures

Travel to job sites throughout the tri-state area (overnight stays required)

Qualifications

1+ years of rigging or heavy equipment experience preferred

Familiar with chain binders, slings, straps, and rigging hardware

Able to lift 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Valid Drivers License

NCCER Rigger certification or willingness to obtain

Must be authorized to work in the United States
