The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority is seeking a Maintenance Repair Technician. This position serves as an Operational Repair Technician to ensure the Headquarters and Distribution Center are functional for business on a daily basis. This position supports the organization by providing a safe, comfortable environment for employees and guests. The Maintenance Repair Technician would also troubleshoot and repair all mechanical systems, critical operation equipment and fire and safety systems in the Headquarters and Distribution Center.
Areas of Responsibility
Performs installation, repairs and analysis on all motors and operational equipment throughout the Headquarters and Distribution Center.. (Operational equipment pertains to doors and docks, generator and all motorized equipment affecting operations.)
Maintains all systems throughout the Headquarters and Distribution Center which include: HVACR, plumbing, telecommunications, fire and life safety and all equipment associated with the facilities operation.
Orders necessary maintenance materials and preventive maintenance/repairs on miscellaneous building systems.
Performs maintenance requests and performs construction projects including the demolition of existing walls, ceilings, sprinkler systems, electrical systems, HVAC systems, telecommunications and networking and replacement
Performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on all heating and hot water systems (gas, electric) in the Headquarters and Distribution Center to prevent authority downtime and discomfort for employees.
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on all fire and safety systems in the Headquarters and Distribution Center. This consists of weekly, quarterly and annual inspections and tests.
Performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to dock boards to ensure they are safe and functioning properly to minimize the disruption of Distribution Center operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of electrical systems, HVACR, telecommunications/networking, plumbing, fire systems, general maintenance and construction.
Skills in the use of all power and diagnostic equipment.
Ability to assist and perform installation, troubleshooting, or repair of all systems within the Hanover Headquarters and Distribution Center.
Experience in HVAC repair.
Preferred Qualifications
Operational Equipment Repair with routine commercial maintenance knowledge in HVACR, plumbing, telecommunication/networking systems and fire/life safety.
