TELECOMMUNICATION MANAGER
Job Brief: Description: Duties:
Manage and participate in the development and implementation of goals objectives, policies, and priorities for assigned services.
Coordinate and plans staff to assign work activities, projects, along with monitoring workflow by evaluating the efficiency of the products and procedures; oversees activities including installations, maintenance of radio systems, tower sites, and other communication equipment. Prepare and review technical specifications for communications equipment; coordinating and communicating with vendors concerning reviewing bids and making recommendations regarding vendors; selection by monitoring terms of contracts to ensure work conforms to FCC rules and regulations.
Assisting the Deputy Administrative Service Director and monitoring the forecasts of funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and other supplies from the telecommunications budget.
Qualifications:
Eight years of increasingly responsible experience in telecommunications or electronic, including five years of administrative or supervisory responsibility
Equivalent to Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in electronics, communications, engineering or a related field with possession of or ability to obtain a General Radio-Telephone Operator license issued by Federal Communications Commission.
PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT, APPLICANT RECOMMENDED FOR EMPLOYMENT SHALL BE REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY PASS A URINALYSIS AND/OR BLOOD TEST TO SCREEN FOR ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUG ABUSE.
