We are looking for the Accounts Head, who can lead the finance and accounting function, ensuring accurate books, compliance with statutory regulations, and smooth month-end/year-end closures. Supervise team operations and coordinate with auditors for financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, balance sheets, and statements in compliance with regulatory and internal accounting standards.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial reports.
Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
Prepare and review tax returns, compliance reports, and other statutory filings in coordination with auditors and consultants.
Supervise and mentor a team of 10 accountants, reviewing their work for accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders for audits, filings, and financial reviews.
Assist in developing and implementing internal controls, accounting policies, and process improvements.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and proper reporting.
Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register — track additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
Support the preparation and review of Tax Audit Reports and ensure compliance with relevant tax and accounting laws.
Handle account finalization and assist in preparing management reports for decision-making.
Perform any other accounting or compliance-related tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
Education: CA Inter / ICWAI / Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CPA preferred).
Experience: 6–8 years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Tally and ERP-based accounting systems.
Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
Sound understanding of GST, Income Tax, and Company Law.
Preferred Background: Experience in an audit firm or a manufacturing organization.
