Position Summary
As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs by:
Creating and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons.
Collaborating with colleagues and families to support student growth.
Implementing and monitoring Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Building strong relationships that encourage independence, confidence, and academic success. Key Responsibilities
Conduct assessments and help identify student learning needs.
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with the educational team.
Support students with academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development.
Partner with families to encourage involvement in their child's education.
Collaborate with general education staff and outside agencies.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Continue professional learning through workshops, training, and collaboration. Qualifications
Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Special Education endorsement (all endorsements considered).
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
A commitment to supporting all students in reaching their fullest potential.
