Location: Lewes, DE 19958 – Coastal Delaware nursing job in a charming town with historic sites and easy beach access
Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Progressive Care Unit (Stepdown/IMC level of care)
Job Type: Travel Nursing – Registered Nurse
Start Date: December 1, 2025
End Date: March 2, 2026
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12 Hour Nights
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Unit Details: 12-bed PCU, nurse-to-patient ratio 1:4
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1780 - $1910
PCU Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Delaware or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Stepdown, or IMC setting
Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Clinical skills: arterial lines, chest tubes, post-cardiac cath care, and titration of drips (insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, cardene, neosynephrine)
Experience with Cerner PowerChart (preferred)
Ability to float to Medical-Surgical or Telemetry units as needed
PCU Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in a stepdown/IMC environment
Monitor and manage complex cardiac and post-procedural patient conditions
Administer and titrate critical care drips and medications
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Accurately document patient care using Cerner PowerChart
Float to Medical-Surgical or Telemetry units as required
