Job Description
The Data Engineer I will play a key role in enhancing and optimizing the architecture of data and data pipelines within the organization. This position is responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and efficiency. By collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, the Data Engineer I will support data-driven decision-making and contribute to the success of data initiatives across the company.
Responsibilities
Support software developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists in enhancing data accessibility and usability.
Ensure consistency in data delivery architecture across ongoing projects by adhering to established reference architecture.
Recommend and implement data pipeline architectures to optimize data flow and collection for cross-functional teams.
Design, develop, and deploy data flow processes and collection mechanisms that meet the needs of multiple systems and products.
Develop and maintain data processes for modeling, mining, and production, identifying opportunities for data acquisition and integration.
Utilize various languages and tools (e.g., scripting languages) to integrate systems, improving data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
Architect, build, and launch new data models that support business objectives and enhance data analytics capabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data initiatives align with organizational goals and stakeholder requirements.
Required Education and Experience
Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Logistics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
1-3 years of experience in data engineering or equivalent role.
Proven experience in data pipeline development and management in Azure environments.
Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, or Azure Synapse Analytics.
Familiarity with data warehousing solutions and handling large datasets.
Strong understanding of SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts, particularly in Azure.
Ability to work with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
Understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
