Component Engineer

You will be responsible for the specification, development, and validation of critical battery components such as busbars, connectors, venting elements, metal structures, and coatings. Your role will ensure seamless integration of these components into the overall battery system, meeting all technical and automotive standards.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Define and manage technical specifications for battery components, ensuring alignment with system, mechanical, and electrical requirements.

Coordinate with suppliers to identify, assess, and select components that meet technical compliance.

Validate proposed technical solutions through simulation, testing, or review of historical data.

Support design integration using CAD tools, ensuring interface compatibility with adjacent systems.

Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, and assessments to ensure industrialization readiness.

Ensure that all components comply with automotive standards and customer requirements.

Key Deliverables :

Component Technical Specification Documents

Supplier Technical Assessment Reports

Validated Component Lists aligned with DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report)

Contributions to DFMEA for critical components

Interface and CAD Integration Validation Reports

Change Management and Deviation Requests (when applicable)

YOUR PROFILE:

Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering or related field

Experience in component development and validation, preferably in the battery or automotive industry

Strong knowledge of technical specifications, CAD integration, and automotive standards

Familiarity with DFMEA and industrialization processes

Excellent coordination and communication skills to work across multidisciplinary teams

Proactive problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

Good command of English (spoken and written); additional language skills are a plus
