Our client, a well-established organization, is seeking an experienced and motivated Accounting Manager to join their growing finance team in Waterloo! The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Manager will oversee a small but dynamic team. This role will play a key part in leading the month-end close process, preparing financial statements, managing audits, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements for multiple entities
Lead the annual audit process and act as the main point of contact for external auditors
Support the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, providing insight into financial performance
Manage and mentor a small team, providing guidance, training, and ongoing development
Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other financial documentation
Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies
About You:
CPA designation required
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with prior leadership exposure
Experience in public accounting (Manager or strong Senior from a firm) is highly valued
Strong understanding of financial reporting, consolidations, and audit processes
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range: $90,000–$120,000, commensurate with experience
