Opportunity Snapshot A leading regional industrial manufacturer is seeking a dedicated Safety Lead to drive safety excellence and performance across three interconnected local facilities in the Newton, NC area.

This is a critical, highly visible, and hands-on role perfect for an experienced safety professional with a strong background in dynamic manufacturing and industrial environments.

The operations you will support include a converting plant, a plastics fabrication site, and a high-volume distribution and warehousing center.

Your expertise will be vital as the company integrates new automation and advanced material-handling systems, ensuring safe operational growth.

Core Responsibilities · Program Development: Maintain, update, and enhance all safety programs, policies, and procedures across the three sites.

· Inspections and Assessments: Execute regular facility inspections, safety audits, and thorough hazard identification/risk assessments on the plant floor.

· Training and Communication: Lead all safety training initiatives, new hire onboarding, and daily safety communication with operational teams and leadership.

· Incident Management: Conduct detailed incident investigations, facilitate root-cause analysis reviews, and track corrective action implementation.

· Compliance Assurance: Guarantee full site compliance with all applicable OSHA and EPA regulations governing industrial and manufacturing activities.

· Performance Tracking: Manage and report key safety performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to site and corporate management.

· Culture Building: Collaborate closely with plant leadership to promote and strengthen a proactive, continuous improvement safety culture.

Essential Qualifications · Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of direct safety experience within an industrial, manufacturing, or heavy process environment.

· Regulatory Knowledge: Expert-level understanding of OSHA standards and proven experience with safety compliance practices.

· Education/Certification: A relevant degree or a professional safety/environmental certification is strongly preferred.

· Skills: Demonstrated strong communication, planning, and follow-through capabilities.

· Mobility: Must have the ability to reliably travel between the local facilities on a regular, daily basis.
