We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Foreman for our Environmental Group in the Construction industry. This exciting role involves leading and managing a team of construction workers, ensuring that environmental policies and procedures are adhered to, and overseeing the successful completion of construction projects. The ideal candidate is passionate about sustainability and has a strong background in site work.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Foreman in the Environmental Group, your responsibilities will include:
1. Supervising and coordinating the activities of construction workers on site.
2. Ensuring that all construction activities comply with environmental regulations and sustainability goals.
3. Conducting regular site inspections to ensure the safety, quality, and progress of the work.
4. Training and mentoring team members on environmental best practices in construction.
5. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
6. Developing and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
7. Resolving on-site conflicts and issues promptly and professionally.
8. Coordinating with waste management services to ensure proper disposal of construction waste.
9. Maintaining accurate records of all construction activities, including environmental impact assessments and mitigation measures.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Foreman - Environmental Group role will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on site work.
2. Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably as a foreman.
3. Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainable practices in construction.
4. Excellent communication and team management skills.
5. Ability to train and mentor team members on environmental best practices.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
7. Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. A commitment to safety, quality, and environmental responsibility.
10. A degree in construction management, environmental science, or a related field is preferred.
