About the Role
We are seeking a Material Handler with strong attention to detail, and high standards of customer service. This role is a key liaison between Tobin Scientific and our pharma and biotech clients. You will play an integral role ensuring that Client requests are met in a timely and accurate manner. This person represents the front line for Tobin Scientific, and will become a trusted counterpart among some of the world's leading scientific teams. This is a full time position located at our Rowley, MA Warehouse.
What we are looking for
Minimum education: High School diploma or GED
2+ years in customer-service with strong track record of client satisfaction; or 1+ year of experience within a warehouse involving warehouse procedures, inventory management, and logistics.
Highly professional with strong work ethic, and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.
Excellent communicator, including providing and receiving constructive feedback.
Adaptable and takes proactive measures to understand new skills or concepts.
Can operate independently with minimal oversight, and seek support when necessary.
Follow provided SOP's and work procedures.
Perform additional shipping and stocking tasks, as necessary.
Perform job requirements safely with the required PPE.
Balance multiple priorities, and manage time to complete assigned tasks within shift.
Intermediate computer skills (exhibits ability to operate Warehouse Management Systems).
Able to walk up to 5+ hours daily and lift 50 lbs.
OSHA 10 and forklift operator certifications preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct inventory picking, staging, and loading for outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Offload incoming shipments, perform detailed inspections, and execute intake processes, including proper "putaway" tasks in designated locations using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
Navigate and update inventory records accurately using Warehouse Management System (WMS) software.
Perform daily safety checks on equipment to ensure compliance with operating standards.
Enter operational and inventory data as required by Site Lead and Inventory Control Specialist (ICS).
Collaborate with team members to conduct thorough inventory audits and resolve discrepancies.
Process deviations (i.e., damages, miscounts, etc.) according to provided SOP.
Serve as a professional and reliable representative of the Tobin Scientific organization during in-person and online interactions with clients.
