Job Description
Title: Client Accounting Electronic Billing Coordinator
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – 2 days in-office, 3 days remote)
Schedule: Full-time Monday–Friday
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate monthly electronic rate submission process and submit timekeepers/rates for client approval.
Monitor status of submitted rates, investigate discrepancies, and work with clients, partners, and billing teams to resolve issues.
Respond to inquiries from partners, secretaries, and billing personnel regarding e-billing rate operations.
Assist with rates-related client setup for electronic billing, including timekeeper data review and upload authorization.
Ensure rates are consistent with client agreements and Outside Counsel Guidelines.
Collaborate with billing staff and e-billing vendors to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
Provide training and serve as a resource for firm personnel on e-billing rate operations.
Support projects and initiatives related to e-billing and client accounting.
Actively enhance knowledge of client accounting procedures and processes.
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
Minimum of 2 years of electronic billing rate experience in a professional services environment
Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with ADERANT Expert (or similar legal-industry time and billing systems)
Knowledge of LEDES electronic billing formats and e-billing vendor platforms
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Flexibility to adjust hours as business needs require
