Your Contribution
Reporting to the Head of Wineries and working closely with our Chief Winemaker you will be responsible for all winemaking operations at our Selaks Winery. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to our brands across two vintages, with a handover and transition period scheduled before and after our Winemaker’s parental leave. Some of your responsibilities will include:
Lead a team of two (one Operations Winemaker and one Senior Laboratory Technician)
Contribute to developing the wine style and quality required for wines produced at Selaks
Develop plans for the winemaking team to deliver such activities as the bottling schedule and dispatch.
Quality and Compliance standards: Manage and audit Wine Quality Control sytems in the winery for fruit picking through to bottling
Contribute to the annual harvest planning and logistics process and assist with wider needs as required
Provide input into the long term/annual operating and vintage plans
About you
Oenological or related Food Science degree/diploma
Minimum 5 years Winemaking Experience
Demonstrated history of effective people management and leadership
A demonstrated understanding of Wine Quality Management systems
