Area:
The Digital Factory supports the Agricultural Solutions (AP) division in the development of cutting-edge solutions. Our mission is to help farmers increase crop productivity and profitability while reducing environmental impact. To date, two areas are represented in the Montevideo HUB: Solutions Delivery - designs technology solutions tailored to the specific needs of the agricultural sector; and AgroStart - is an agricultural innovation program that addresses specific needs within the organization. We accelerate development and work with technology startups to co-create solutions.
Main Objective:
Designing, developing, and maintaining interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards for enterprise-grade IT solutions of BASF Agricultural.
Main Tasks:
Analyze and understand business data requirements and translate them into Reporting solutions.
Create visually engaging and insightful reports and dashboards that effectively communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders.
Clean, transform, and prepare data from various sources to ensure it is suitable for reporting and analysis.
Develop data models within Reporting Platform to support efficient data retrieval and analysis.
Optimize data queries to enhance report performance and responsiveness.
Choose appropriate visualizations (charts, graphs, tables, etc.) to represent data effectively and facilitate understanding.
Create interactive features in dashboards, including filters, slicers, and drill-through capabilities for users to explore data.
Publish and distribute reports to appropriate audiences, often through Reporting Service or other deployment methods.
Implement security measures and access controls to ensure data confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
Monitor report performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize reports for faster loading times.
Collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure reports meet business needs.
Requirements:
• Education: Graduates or advanced students of Software Engineering, Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Telematics Engineering, Information Technology Analyst (or related careers).
• Working Experience:
3-5 years of experience in IT Consulting or related fields.
2+ years’ of experience working with Power BI or similar tools.
• Language skills: Advanced level of English and Spanish (spoken and written). Portuguese is highly valued.
• Technical skills:
Advanced skills in data transformation, data modeling and data visualizations, including advanced proficiency in PowerQuery for data transformation and preparation.
Advanced skills in data-oriented languages (DAX, SQL, Python) and analytics technologies.
Advanced skills in query optimization.
Advanced skills in report design, interactive dashboards, and report publishing.
Experience with Vega or Vega-Lite is highly valued for creating custom visualizations is valued.
