Role Overview:

The Associate Product Owner will be part of the Customer Lifecycle stream, focusing on delivering impactful improvements across key customer-facing capabilities. The role contributes to initiatives that enhance registration, account management, and other customer core experiences. It involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional groups within the Technology organisation to define, evolve, and support the software and systems that underpin a seamless Sportsbet customer journey.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Business Analysis:

Be the interface between stakeholders across both business and technology, bringing sufficient domain and technical expertise to act as a trusted partner.

Efficiently work towards moving a project from ideation to delivery by producing the rights artifacts, manage the product backlogs

Work with Product Managers and Business Analysts to understand the bigger picture and understand the benefits and drawbacks of different technical solutions

Collaborate with Design team on initiatives and improvements in your owned area

Proactively propose and collaborate with stakeholders to drive improvements within the owned domain.

Maintain comprehensive functionality documentation and process flows for all owned areas and associated services.

Actively seeks architectural input when decisions influence

requirements and helps weight decisions with stakeholders in order

to ensure the best possible outcome.

Able to negotiate and reconcile conflicting priorities among various

stakeholders.

Analysis:

Analyse high level requirements from stakeholders and break them down into playable user stories for one or two delivery teams.

Maintain a high level of requirements quality and relevant documentation.

Use data and processes during analysis to clarify and validate requirements.

Define acceptance criteria and monitor user experience.

Define success metrics and ensure that these are captured, reviewed and appropriate action is taken where these deviate from expected

Agile:

Design and implement appropriate backlog management structures for a project or team.

Able to lead technical teams through the breakdown of complex pieces of work into items for prioritization and delivery.

Stakeholder Relationships:

Understand that communication is key to success, building and managing key communication mechanisms

Be a partner to technical and non-technical teams to promote business change.
