Job Description SummaryWe’re a team of dedicated and smart people united by a drive to achieve together.

You will drive the processes related to P&L performance management and Cash Flow (process, analysis, closing etc.), support the overall planning process in collaboration with International and countries from a technical (timelines and tools) and analytical point of view.

You will oversee and coordinate the month end process, including interactions with direct Units (EU4 & Clusters) and work in close collaboration with other Europe BPA team members, and countries/clusters BPAs, reporting to Head P&L Analytics & MCF Europe

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Drive the Planning and performance management processes for Europe P&L with European countries/clusters and other Europe BPA team members, ensuring compliant and timely reporting, and clear / simple explanations to senior management.

Lead the Management Cash Flow process, perform budget operationalization and understand deviations from the plan and historical trends; actively engage with countries to identify risks and opportunities.

Participate in preparation of executive presentations to Europe LT, FLT, and Business reviews with the International team and any other ad-hoc needs.

Key contributor to innovation, automation & simplification initiatives, plays as ambassador for Digital adoption & BPA of the future, by working closely with Corporate / Digital finance and INTL COE team. Supports implementation of key innovative initiatives into current planning & performance management processes in Europe.

Actively shares newsflow and aligns on processes with INTL BPA counterparts

Constantly partners with local BPA team, on assigned Unit, and main Point of Contact for local finance team for any topic which is not requiring Europe CFO / Head P&L Analytics & MCF immediate involvement. For the assigned unit, provides meaningful insights to Europe CFO ahead of business review.

Drive Europe HQ P&L control and alignment with key Europe LT members.

Essential Criteria

Relevant degree (e.g. in Finance & Accounting)

Extensive in Financial Analysis and modelling

Effective Communication of Complex Models and Scenarios

Proven experience in aligning people and resources / Team work

Change management experience

Fluent in English

Desirable

MBA or other relevant Master

Country BPA experience in Novartis

Has performed above-country assignments in Novartis (in Region Europe, INTL or Corporate)

Financial Business Partnering to in-country commercial head.
