Commercial Electrician

Location: Field-Based - Midlands (National coverage with flexibility to attend sites and HQ)

Salary: Up to £40,000 (dependent on experience) + Company Van + Tools + Pension + Benefits

Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, with flexibility for weekends/overnight stays)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Remarkable Jobs are hiring on behalf of our client for a Commercial Electrician. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a fast-growing organisation delivering smart car parking solutions across the UK.

Commercial Electrician Role:

As a Commercial Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation of ANPR systems, cameras, barriers, kiosks, and associated hardware. This role is ideal for someone with strong electrical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a safety-first approach. You will ensure all works are carried out to the highest standards, meeting compliance and client expectations.

Commercial Electrician Key Responsibilities:

Carry out installations of ANPR systems, cameras, barriers, kiosks, and associated hardware.

Conduct site surveys and assess installation requirements.

Configure and calibrate electrical and electronic systems for optimal performance.

Ensure all installations meet health and safety standards and technical specifications.

Liaise with clients, site contacts, and project teams to ensure smooth delivery.

Maintain accurate installation records, including photos, reports, and system configurations.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and after installation.

Maintain tools, PPE, and vehicle readiness for field operations.

What We're Looking For in a Commercial Electrician:

Essential:

Electrical qualifications - NVQ Level 3 minimum (18th Edition preferred).

Experience installing electrical systems such as ANPR, CCTV, or smart parking equipment.

Strong understanding of networking, IP cameras, and system integration.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel/stay away as required.

Excellent understanding of Health & Safety regulations.

Exceptional organisation and reporting skills using MS Office/365.

Desirable:

Civils or groundworks knowledge (e.g., ducting, trenching, reinstatement).
