About the Role
As a Manager in Training, you'll learn everything it takes to successfully run a retail store-from daily operations and team leadership to budgeting, merchandising, and safety. This role is designed to prepare you for future store management by giving you hands-on experience and mentorship in a fast-paced retail environment.
What You'll Do
Deliver excellent customer service to shoppers and donors and ensure your team does so.
Learn to manage budgets, sales, and financial reporting.
Oversee donation processing-receiving, sorting, pricing, and stocking.
Ensure accurate cash handling and document it. Securely process deposits.
Play a lead role in hiring, training, and coaching store employees.
Keep the store clean, safe, and customer-ready at all times.
Partner with Goodwill departments and outside vendors as needed to achieve store goals.
Promote a culture of safety and follow all company policies.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 2 years of retail experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Experience with accounting or bookkeeping a plus.
Warehouse or inventory management experience preferred.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and time-keeping systems.

Physical Abilities
Stand, walk, bend, push, and reach for long periods.
Regularly lift and carry up to 35 lbs (heavier lifting as needed).
Use hand-eye coordination for registers and store equipment.
