POSITION TITLE

Assistant Band Director for Lakeland High School

GENERAL DEFINITION AND CONDITIONS OF WORK

Aids in the daily operations of the marching band program throughout the entire school year. Assist in the preparation of band students for spring, fall and summer band camps. Assist with rehearsals and the preparation of various marching band shows, parades, competitions and performances during marching band season and throughout the school year. Aids in the overall logistics and supervision of all the students in the band program during all rehearsals and performances.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL TASKS

Daily operations, logistics and supervision of the students in the band program. Assist in show preparation and performance designs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have marching band and music experience on the high school and collegiate level with primary instruments and or various auxiliary squads.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School diploma and collegiate marching band experience.
