Responsibilities
Tracks progress of tax returns from start to finish
Downloads tax documents from portal and distributes to assigned tax staff
Manages clients' paper documents, including safeguarding of information and delegating to administrative assistants or tax interns for scanning
Assembles and sends finalized tax returns to clients electronically or via mail
Preparation of engagement letters, Power of Attorney, Manage electronic signatures, and Clients' intake forms
Projects coordination, workflow control, manage documents retention utilizing firm designated document management system.
Manage billing and collection
Assist with time and expense entry >
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to accurately and effectively manage aggressive deadlines and timelines.
Very detailed oriented
Self-Sufficient, requiring minimal supervision
Knowledge of office equipment printers/fax/scanners
Good interpersonal skills, able to get along with many kinds of personalities
Dependable, Excellent attendance
Good knowledge in tax related tracking software to include document management system and e-signatures
Qualifications
Community college or undergraduate degree (or equivalent)
Experience in TAX Dept of CPA firm
Typing skills of 50+ WPM
Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (WORD, EXCEL, Outlook)
Mandatory paid overtime work from January to April; and other key Tax Deadline periods in July, September, October - may be in excess of 45 hours per week.
$25 - $38 an hour
