CNC Mill-Turn Machinist

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Setup and operation of CNC machinery

Interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and other documents to determine setup and inspection requirements.

Selecting, aligning, and securing holding fixtures and cutting tools on machines.

Loading and securing raw material on the machine.

Retrieving current revision CNC machine control programs and downloading them to the machine.

Starting and observing machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusting machine controls as required.

Unloading finished parts and performing necessary deburring and quality checks.

Verifying conformance of finished workpiece to specifications using manual tools or CMM/DCC-CMM equipment and entering data into quality documentation.
