Foundry Worker

Job Description

The Foundry Worker will make metal castings, including melting metal, creating molds, casting, finishing, inspecting, maintaining equipment, and monitoring temperatures.

Essential Functions

Manage the melting and pouring of aluminum castings.

Manage core making, finishing, and assembly (plaster cores) process.

Manage mold shake out and casting cleaning process.

Safely operate overhead crane.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

A High School Diploma or GED.

At least 3 years of manufacturing experience.

Ability to read and write in English.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong attention to detail.

Strong working knowledge of manufacturing principles and quality control methods.

Ability to interpret 2D drawings, and document process information.

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Prolonged periods of standing at a machine.

Work Environment

Manufacturing-floor setting.

Physical labor – ability to withstand standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting 50 pounds or more.

Regular use of equipment (overhead cranes, tow motor, melting & pouring equipment, and various tooling)

Moderate noise levels.

Exposure to physical hazards and temperature extremes.Company Description
